Medium: Oil Paints This is my first oil painting, and I'm quite proud of it. Oil painting comes a lot more naturally to me than acrylics. Acrylics are a bit harder to work with, don't blend as easily, and are a lot heavier. I notice when I use acrylics, I don't usually slap lots of paint on my canvas like I do with oils. This is copied from a photo from Japan, but in reality there was more on the table -- I just didn't feel like drawing it. I'm planning on doing a series of paintings to express my trip to Japan in summer 2007. Back to Artwork |
