Medium: Colored Pencil, Pastel This piece started out as a painting. It looked decent, but there was something totally missing since I'm usually not very good at painting. So I decided to start the whole thing over... in colored pencils! @_@ I'm not sure how good a decision that was... because this piece isn't one of my favorites ~_~ Originally it wasn't just a square, but wider. I had pasted some really interesting texture on the left -- that's right, actual cloth. But it didn't look so good, so I cut it off. The picture then looked insanely better. This is the Taiwanese band F.I.R. if you aren't familiar with them. Next time, I'm going to stay away from small faces, because faces are my strong point since I usually can go crazy with the colors in them. With Faye's face, it was so small so I couldn't make it all that unique looking =/ I was inspired by Utada Hikaru's "Sakura Drops" music video for this =) Back to Artwork |
