In Colorado!

Hey everyone, sorry I haven't been around much lately >_< My life has been very stressed out, but I've accomplished a lot of things in the past month.

First, I bought a tablet =D I used to have one, but it broke a few years ago. Now I can started doodling on the computer again... and who knows? Maybe I'll draw something good =P

Second, I got my permit again. It didn't take too long at the DMV actually. Wait... in Maryland, it's called the MVA (Motor Vehicle Association) My mom calls it DMV (Dept. Motor Vehicles) because she's from Pennsylvania =) I guess MVA sounds less government-y.

Third... my school moved to a new building! I swear we weren't ready to move yet. They didn't give the teachers many days to pack. They had to box up EVERYTHING, and then the county gave them just one day after winter break to unpack. The teachers were mad. So, we walked into the new building after winter break, and it felt like a total prison. The whole administration was all over us... telling us all the new rules, and that if we graffitied something (even just writing on the desk) we would be arrested, fined for $2,500 and recommended for expulsion. WTF? They also decided to do hall sweeps instead of letting teachers deal with late kids. And of course throughout the first week there were more students late than normal because of getting lost in the new school.. AND that they took off 1 minute from our time to get to the next class. At least later, we learned that even though the late kids had to go down to the cafeteria to get yelled at by the administration, they were mostly excused.
See, at my old school we had relative freedom. I could walk around the halls probably without a pass and not get stopped. I did that in art class a lot, like I would go to the vending machine or the bathroom. Now I feel scared and have to get a pass every time -- which is like everyday because I always have to pee in 4th period. The last day of school at the old building, we drew all over the walls. It was a lot of fun. So you can see why I was shocked upon entering the new building. It wasn't even welcoming... =/ I was so stressed out that week.

Fourth.. exammss!!! =O =O I had to get an A on the math and english exam if I wanted to get an A for the semester. I don't know if that happened, but I can hope. The other two exams weren't too hard. I had to get at least a C on those.

Fifth, now I am in Colorado with a friend to go skiing. We already skied yesterday. My friend had to take a lesson, and she didn't really like it, lol. So I'm just going to hang out with her today and go shopping -- there are a lot of neat shops in this town. I also had this Japanese ice cream called Mochi last night! It was sooo good ~_~ But we've been having major altitude adjustment problems. We're at 8,000 feet above sea level. In Maryland, it is basically AT sea level. It's a nice view, but all my bodily functions have been out of control. We flew into Denver at about 9:00 body time, and didn't get to the hotel until about 1:00. In the meantime, I was tired, had a killer headache, and then after eating dinner felt like I would throw up. Oh yeah, AND my cold was kicking in. The next morning I felt crappy too, but after I got all my skiing gear on, I felt better. Then I had horrible gas last night. Rofl.

But I think the highlight of this trip will be visiting Colorado College on Monday. I just got an acceptance letter from them earlier this week. CC in in Colorado Springs, which is only a few hours south of Denver. =D I'm really excited, because CC was one of my top choices in schools. You probably have never heard of it, but it's probably one of the best liberal arts schools in this area. There aren't many small schools here in the mountains, or even in the southwest or central US.

Next semester starts on Wednesday. It probably doesn't matter as much as first semester, because colleges won't see my 2nd semester grades until after they've already accepted me and only IF they accept me. But it's not in my nature to slack off, though I have been skipping school more often LOL. And since I turn 18 in a few weeks, I can write my own sick notes. >) Schools ends for seniors in May. Only like 4 more months.. OMG.

So I know I don't have many site updates, but I can keep promising. I have to finish the photography section soon. AND I have to start webdesigning again. Haha. Thanks for sticking with me though! Life's been rough @_x

Life sounds exciting for you! So many things have happened to you.

Skiing is so tiring o.o; I got tired after my lesson as well haha. I just didn't have the arm strength to pull myself up the slope ^^; So weak..

Glad you're having fun! We call it the DMV here in FL too.

I read the whole thing; I'd comment on everything but I'm dead tired and have to go to bed for work in the morning -.-

Ps. Hope the gas goes away XP
